Charles Itandje ‘Laughed and Danced’ During Hillsborough Memorial Service - Itandje Never Likely to Play for Liverpool Again, and the Club Will Look to Offload him in the Summer
Liverpool’s French goalkeeper Charles Itandje was shown at the Hillsborough memorial service at Anfield on Wednesday, smiling and nudging a teammate, showing total disrespect for the 96 that lost their lives at Hillsborough 20 years ago.
The former French Under-21 international has not played for Liverpool since the FA Cup defeat against Barnsley last February, and with the club having tried and failed to get rid of him last summer; Charles Itandje is now never likely to play for Liverpool ever again.
Itandje was caught on camera, smiling and rocking into French teammate Damien Plessis, whilst Plessis just looked back at Itandje in absolute disgust. Although Plessis was clearly uncomfortable that his teammate was trying to play the clown on the 20th anniversary of such a sad day in Liverpool’s history; Itandje nonetheless continued to show total disrespect for the club that pays his wages.
Wage demands were a problem when Liverpool tried to offload Itandje in the summer, and although several club’s showed an interest in the goalkeeper; no club was able to prize Charles Itandje away from his comfortable wage at Liverpool.
Liverpool will now once more look to offload Itandje in the summer, and the fans are likely to feel that it’s only right that Itandje should never again sport the Liverpool goalkeeper jersey.
The following is a YouTube video showing the Hillsborough memorial service on April 8th; watch at the 30 second point to witness Charles Itandle’s childish and totally disrespectful behaviour:
