Roy Keane Leaving Sunderland?

Rumour has it right now that Roy Keane could well be leaving Sunderland. The manager has not travelled with the team for today’s away game against Blackburn, and although this is not the first time he’s not travelled on the team coach; current circumstances are leading some to speculate as to whether or not Roy Keane will remain at Sunderland for much longer.

The former Manchester United midfielder has had great success at Sunderland, the team was bottom of the Championship when he took over but is now serving its second season in the top flight of English football; the Barclays Premier League. Whilst the team sits second bottom right now, one win could potentially take Sunderland up to 10th place such is the tightness of the league at current.

Roy Keane is an excellent manager and I definitely hope that he doesn’t walk out as I believe he has much more to offer for The Black Cats. He’s done a very good job so far, and should he decide to stay at Sunderland then I feel that the side will survive this season and live to see another year in the English Premier League.

Keane’s Sunderland future is currently uncertain, I’m sure there are a lot of fans of the club hoping for him to stay however and confident of many more successful seasons with Keane at the helm of the club.

Could Keane be leaving, or is this media speculation completely unfounded? Right now I’m not really sure, just keep your eyes peeled though, and if you’re a Sunderland fan; keep your fingers crossed.
